Trait-Carre Dating to 1665, the Trait-Carré is an historic area whose singular urban zoning, historical background and architectural elements are unique in Québec. Constructed in a star-chaped pattern converging on a central area, the mission was designed to allow a quick defensive organization of the settlers against attack. A pedestrian walkway circles the Trait-Carré; walking maps and tours are available from the Moulin des Jesuites. |
