The first hotel of its kind in North America. This hotel operates for three months every winter - from the beginning of January to the end of March - provided that Mother Nature cooperates. Constructed out of thousands of tons of snow and ice at the Station Touristique Duchesnay, the hotel has 32 rooms, an ice bar, an ice chapel and an ice reception hall. Guests sleep on deer pelts inside a warm sleeping bag, and there are washroom facilities which are heated and lighted.
